The Lycée Français de Bilbao is a place of teaching, work and education that helps prepare students for their lives as adults and citizens in which the values of liberty, equality and fraternity are fully applied.
These values are based on fundamental principles that everyone must respect: neutrality, secularism, the duty of tolerance, respect for the person and beliefs of others, equality of opportunity and treatment between girls and boys, the absence of any discrimination, guarantees of protection against any form of psychological, physical or moral violence, and the consequent duty not to use any violence.
The lycée is a place of life and development, which guarantees the material and moral security of students in an educational system that conforms to the curricula and methods of French National Education. Its aim is to build the personality: from childhood to access to higher education, it prepares students to understand the world in which they live and to find their place in it.
Harmonious integration into society is achieved through two essential and inseparable tasks: teaching and education.
