Parents, children and staff, all together for the well-being of our students!
The quality of school life has a direct impact on the health of children and adolescents, and preserving the well-being of students is a prerequisite for learning. Education cannot lead to success if students’ basic physical, emotional and social needs are not met. The educational project of the Lycée Français was conceived as a means to build and promote healthy habits in students, which is correlated to the well-being of citizens on a social scale. By teaching and supporting the development of positive and caring behaviors in children from an early age, we are laying the foundation for a healthy life that they will be able to maintain throughout their adult lives.
How does the French lycée act for the well-being of its students?
The educational experience of students must be considered holistically. It is not only about acquiring a body of knowledge, but also about their cognitive, social and emotional development, so that they become young adults who are self-confident, responsible, respectful of others, intellectually and socially engaged and ready to make a difference.
To achieve this goal, we have created a multidisciplinary team to coordinate school welfare, through which teachers, students and families can receive listening, support and advice from a senior education counselor, a psychologist and a nurse. To consolidate the skills of our teams, we invest in the training and professional development of our teachers, relying on trainers from the AEFE and its regional continuous training plan, as well as local partners, both institutional and from the socio-associative sector. These collaborations with experts in pupils’ well-being are led by a working group composed of teachers, educational staff, pupils and parents who meet in a Health, Citizenship and Environmental Education Committee. These actions regularly lead to awareness-raising events for both students and parents, through our “family school”, in order to provide them with specific knowledge and support.
Beyond school wellness, the need to protect students
While the objective of the Comprehensive Plan for the Protection of Students is to implement a culture of good treatment within the educational community, its broader purpose is to raise awareness among students, families and school staff so that all are in a position to effectively prevent possible cases of mistreatment or abuse inside or outside the classroom.
By identifying risks and actions to be taken in the school environment in support of regulatory protocols, the Comprehensive Child Protection Plan provides everyone with a safe environment in which students can develop to their full potential.

Victim or witness of an attack on the integrity or well-being of a student? You must act!
Because it is your duty to inform and act, an alert channel is available at all times to any person (teacher, student, parent) who is a victim or witness of behavior that endangers the integrity or well-being of a student at school. Through this specific address, the school management and the school welfare coordination team are immediately alerted to any situation that requires attention and can take the first measures.
