As a member of the pedagogical team, they contribute to preventing and addressing the difficulties students may encounter in order to promote their academic success.
Its main functions:
- They utilize their professional skills to serve the student body, promoting their psychological well-being and socialization.
- They advise and support the teaching staff in the development of prevention and support mechanisms, particularly in the care of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and in conflict resolution.
- They serve as a resource and support for teachers in relationships and interviews with families of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- They conduct observations, hold interviews with students, and prepare reports (with prior consent from families), in addition to analyzing and interpreting the data collected.
- Maintains close contact with external psycho-pedagogical centers and specialists.
- They participate in the life of the school, as well as in prevention projects organized by the institution related to education in values and coexistence.
- They may refer families to services or specialists outside the school and, with their consent, help find solutions tailored to their needs.
